Writing a term paper made easy!

By the end of every school year, a student is made to write an assignment that will cover nearly most of what he/she has learnt over the year. This is posed mostly as a daunting task but this is a misguided assumption because it can be made immensely easy for any caliber of a student. There are many ways to write a good term paper, but a standard procedure should be known to every student. Some creativity in terms of value addition of facts is always welcome by instructors.
Before writing a term paper, a student should go through many sources to decide the topic of the term paper. The topic is chosen which is easier to research and also brings out interest of the student in the term paper. This process is crucial because this is where all the hard work starts. Ideally, writing a term paper should follow like:
The introduction
This is the big seller of the term paper. The objective is to engage the reader to the topic of the term paper with something highly attention-grabbing. It can start with an alarming fact or incident that should bring them to more curiosity. This can be in the form of a question or a statement, known as the thesis statement. Once this statement is defined, it can follow with some major points that will be a part of the body of the term paper. This part is generally the most time consuming of writing a term paper because the student is in the process of gaining as much valuable data and information as possible. Defining a topic to a narrow and practical level is a time-demanding value.
The body
Writing a term paper’s body include the explanation of all the main points of the term paper. This is carefully done with a lot of research and pre-planning like:
• Preparing a draft outline for each point with sub-points if necessary
• Separating each point with a paragraph
• Starting each point with a topic sentence, as a summary of the point
• Including facts with citations of their sources
• Explanation of graphs or charts that will highlight the facts
The conclusion
Finally the conclusion of the term paper is another important part of writing a term paper. This is where the objective is proven and all the main points are brought together to re-iterate the proven hypothesis. It should be more generalised so it can be practical and easy to understand. Following points should be a part of the conclusion:
• Summary of all the findings of the study
• Decided result of the study, or proving the objective correct
• Limitations of the study
• Recommendations from the study
• List of references in a prescribed format
These qualities are a part of every term paper. Writing a term paper is a good experience and comes with a lot of value. There is research and personal curiosity to gain more in-depth of the topic. Depicting the information in the best way is most appreciated by instructors. They give high importance to the thesis statement, the facts, sources and the conclusion.
