Components of a research paper
Essay writing in itself is a complicated process but the complications increase when you progress to writing a research paper. There are several aspects that you need to consider when you are writing your research paper. If even a single one of these is avoided, your research can end in a disaster. When you write a research paper you either do it for a practical research or a scientific research of some sort. When doing the academic level you will mostly be required to do so to improve your critical reasoning, research skills etc. Whatever material you research you need to apply critical thinking to it in order to make some sense out of it. As this is one of the most widely used ways of checking your writing skills you need to be familiar with the research paper components.
The first and the most basic requirement for any research paper is the cover page. This page indicates all of the data about the author and instructor and also the date of submission of the paper. This is then followed by an outline which needs to be there in order to give the reader a bird’s eye view of what to expect from the research. This will make reading easier for the reader and also create greater interest in going through the research paper at least once.
Moving on to the introduction of your research paper you need to talk about the direction of your research paper and what you will be discussing in detail in your research. The body of your research paper is of great importance as here you will be using already researched work and give different viewpoints based on your findings.
Once the rationale for your research has been defined you need talk about the experiments that you are conducting, the methodology used, findings and the conclusion based on these findings. The conclusion will give the reader a thorough idea of what you have discussed overall and how your research is related to it. After the conclusion you need to add references to all of the material that you would have used when working on your research. Finally, the appendix page should be there, this has details of all of the tables, charts, graphs that you would have used in the research. This has to be there for the ease of the reader.

To sum up writing a research paper is a complex process that requires you to use your critical thinking skills to the maximum. You will be required to assume, investigate, analyze and provide conclusions for your work. Out of all of the research paper components by far the toughest is the experimentation part where to aim to test your hypothesis. The slightest mistake can end the research in a failure.
