Essays on math would mostly consist of problems and explanation of the same. Here, you can have bulleted points or tabulate them to make it easier for the readers to understand the essay. Otherwise, the essays could deal with the definitions of mathematical terms. Here, you do not have any other choice other than referring a book or the internet. You can write the same definitions, but ensure that you have given credit to the authors by mentioning the source in the reference list. Essay reference is very important, as menioned earlier.
