The author’s name is inverted and the year of publication is inserted within parentheses. The title of the book is mentioned and the first letter of all the words is capitalized. The place of publication (if available) is mentioned after a comma and the name of the publisher is mentioned in the end. This format is followed while referencing a book. The reference format differs slightly for a magazine, a journal and so on.
